Anglican Church Grammar School, known internationally as Churchie, is at the forefront of boys' education both in Australia and internationally. Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful applicant will be an energetic and motivated staff member, keen to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within our Senior School for students from Years 7–12, with a focus on Humanities.
We want all our staff to develop professionally in a collegial and high-performing culture, dedicated to supporting students to achieve academically, flourish as individuals, and become life-long learners.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Demonstrate appropriate tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education with classroom experience in Humanities subjects (such as History, Geography, and/or Social Sciences).
- Show the ability to lead effective curriculum and pedagogical development specific to boys’ education and in keeping with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (preferred).
- Demonstrate success in employing engaging and inquiry-based strategies that inspire students in Years 7–12 to think critically about global, historical, and cultural contexts.
- Work effectively within a team and build cooperative relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Display a willingness to support the spiritual, community, and cocurricular life of the School.
- Hold current working rights for Australia.
- Hold (or be eligible to obtain) registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

About Anglican Church Grammar School
There are approximately 530 boys in the Preparatory School and 1250 in Senior School. Boarding is an important part of the School's life and over 170 boys from Years 7 to 12 are accommodated at Churchie.
As a member of the Great Public Schools (GPS) Association, Churchie participates in a range of academic, sporting and cultural competitions against other long-standing Brisbane schools.
