Are you an experienced Senior School Teacher who loves supporting students and who is ready for something truly different?

About You:

Do you have a passion for supporting Students and Advisors (Teachers) with challenging student needs? A proven ability to develop student strategies to engage Senior School students in their learning and to support Advisors with challenging student behaviour and meetings with a restorative approach. High emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate clearly, manage challenging conversations and keep clear boundaries is vital.

This is not a traditional teaching role. With our unique 3-year advisory model you will be supporting Advisors and Students and working with our Student Support Leader and Head of Alternative Programs bring the best outcomes for our students.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Implement Student Support Processes: Ensure student support processes are consistently implemented and effective in providing support

Implement Student Support Strategies in Advisories: Support Advisors to implement ‘Learning in TSW’ student support strategy playbook in their Advisory

Progress Student Support Plans: Support Advisors with the development and progress of individual behavioural and learning plans necessary

Attend to Student Support Funding: Attend to funding applications, compliance and census data for supported learners

Be an Active Team Member: Model and Support working in ‘The Silkwood Way’ through collaboration and connection
