About the Opportunity:

John Paul College is excited to offer a permanent ongoing opportunity for a dedicated and innovative Secondary School Science Teacher to join us from Term 1, 2026.

We are seeking a Secondary Science teacher who brings science to life for students. With senior Chemistry and/ or senior Physics experience, you'll guide students through scientific principles, experimental design, and data analysis while connecting these concepts to real-world phenomena and emerging technologies.

This role focuses on developing scientific inquiry skills, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving abilities as students explore the natural world and its applications that align with our mission to Ignite Ambition.

About You:

As a Secondary Teacher at John Paul College, you will be instrumental in shaping the skills and knowledge of our students through innovative teaching and thoughtful curriculum delivery.

The successful candidates will:

Communicate effectively and foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Candidates will require:

A commitment to the vision and values of John Paul College.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Sound organisational and classroom management skills, with a focus on safety and student well-being in practical settings.

Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Chemistry and Physics teaching experience (preferred).
