Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful applicant will be an energetic and motivated staff member, keen to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programmes within our Senior School for students from Years 7–12, with a particular focus on Science in Practice (SIP).
We want all our staff to develop professionally in a collegial and high-performing culture, dedicated to supporting students to achieve academically, flourish as individuals, and become life-long learners.
The successful candidate will be able to :
Demonstrate appropriate tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education, with a specialisation in Science and proven classroom experience.
Inspire curiosity and critical thinking through innovative, hands-on, and inquiry-based teaching approaches.
Differentiate instruction to support a diverse range of learners and promote meaningful student achievement across Years 7–12.
Contribute to the ongoing development of Science curriculum and pedagogy through collaboration, reflection, and professional learning.
Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, contributing to a supportive learning community.
Actively support the spiritual, community, and cocurricular life of the School in alignment with the Anglican ethos.
Hold current working rights for Australia.
Hold (or be eligible to obtain) registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Deliver engaging and practical learning experiences within the Science in Practice syllabus, connecting scientific concepts to real-world applications and career pathways.

About Anglican Church Grammar School
There are approximately 530 boys in the Preparatory School and 1250 in Senior School. Boarding is an important part of the School's life and over 170 boys from Years 7 to 12 are accommodated at Churchie.
