We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic People and Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team. Based at our Head Office in Huntingwood, this dynamic and hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about providing practical HR support and advice to operational leaders and employees across the business.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to) the following tasks:
Provide high-quality advice, coaching, and support to managers on performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, reorganisations, terminations, and other core HR processes.
Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure information integrity across HR systems throughout the employment lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, file management, investigations, workers’ compensation, and offboarding.
Conduct complex investigations into sexual harassment, bullying, and other sensitive workplace matters, providing clear recommendations to senior leadership based on findings.
Independently manage employment litigation across all Australian jurisdictions, including unfair dismissal, general protections, and discrimination cases.
Act as the subject matter expert on complex employee relations, industrial relations, and employment law matters, delivering practical solutions to resolve workplace issues.
Arrange and manage job advertising, candidate screening and testing, interviews, and selection of staff selection.
Evaluate and review job design and position descriptions across departments, aligned with the organisation’s capability framework.
Develop, review, and maintain a comprehensive suite of HR policies and procedures.
Oversee performance appraisal processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Handle ad hoc HR matters as required.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you are required to have:
Tertiary qualification in HR or Business (Diploma/Degree)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HR role
HRIS experience (preferred)
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with all departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A collaborative team player with initiative and a positive attitude
