About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Development Services team.
On a typical day this role will
- Undertake a wide range of building certification work, ranging from Class 1 and 10 buildings to complex Class 2-9 buildings. This will involve the assessment of Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Occupation Certificates and completion of critical stage building inspections.
- Assess and determine development applications and plumbing and drainage applications in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Support the Building Certification Manager in leading business improvement initiatives.
- Deliver high-level service to the community, including front counter duties and responding to enquiries.
- Represent Council in the Land and Environment Court when needed.
- Work across PMHC offices in Port Macquarie, Wauchope, and Laurieton as required.

Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $107,977.54 to $120,860.24 depending on skills and experience
Opportunity for performance-based increase available after 12 months
This role also qualifies for Leaseback or Vehicle allowance
