The position of Casework Support Program Worker is a fulltime role. The primary location is our Wyong Office; however, this role provides services across the Central Coast.

About The Role

The Casework Support Program is a statewide initiative delivered by non-government organisations dedicated to helping young people at risk of continued involvement in the criminal justice system turn their lives around. We offer flexible, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based support to improve behaviour, ensure safety, encourage positive social interactions, and help young people achieve their goals.

Who We Serve

Our program focuses on young people:

Under the supervision of Youth Justice NSW (YJNSW)

Transitioning from custody back into the community

Referred to a Youth Justice Conference (YJC)

Receiving Bail Support

Our Approach

We provide culturally appropriate and holistic support for young people and their families to address the underlying issues contributing to their offenses. Our priority is to offer the additional support needed to achieve goals outlined in their YJNSW Case Plan, YJC Outcome Plan, or those identified while on Bail Support.

Our Goal

CSP providers empower young people to achieve their goals and reduce the risks associated with their offending behavior.

About Us

Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi is an Aboriginal agency on the Central Coast of NSW representing the Aboriginal communities that fall within the Central Coast Local Government area.

The name Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi is from the Darkinjung language and means ‘listen to the children’. This principle forms the basis of our core belief that Aboriginal children and young people need to be connected to their community and culture and to participate and contribute to their story.

Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications Community Services - Youth Work or higher, or working towards. Relevant experience in welfare or related field and minimum 6 months experience in service delivery for young people and their Families with complex needs

Availability to work flexible hours (evening or weekend work may be required)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in report writing and demonstrated ability to develop, organise and maintain records and reports in a timely manner

Good computer skills including Microsoft office and Windows based software.
