Project Manager – retail fit-out / shopfitting contractor

Located out of the Gold Coast offices with travel Interstate 4-6 days per month.

$140,000 - $150,000 + Super. Laptop provided plus mobile phone allowance & travel allowance

Our client is an established, Gold Coast based retail and fast-food fit-out contractor delivering projects throughout Australia for large, recognized brands. Due to a heavy workload, they are seeking to hire an experienced project manager to join its team. With over 10 years trading on the Gold Coast, and with the majority of its work with repeat business clients, large blue-chip retailers and National fast-food restaurants. Projects are frequently installation and shop ref-fits in live environments such as shopping centres, valued between $50k-$1M depending on size and complexity.

Experiencing a heavy workload and a period of growth

In this position you will be reporting to the QLD Construction Manager and will likely manage 2-3 x smaller live environment projects, You will direct & supervise a wide cross section of subcontractors and be proficient programming and budgeting. You will have a sound contractual understanding and importantly you will be required to utilize your excellent communication & interpersonal skills to liase with clients and architects, whilst continually representing the company in a professional manner.

To be suitable for this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

Ideally will have held a Project Manager position within the shopfitting space

Will be experienced in the shop fitting industry from either a trades and site management or contracts administrator background

Understands the demands of the retail and fast food fit-out space.

Delivered multiple projects in the fast food and retail fit-out space as a Project Manager.

Will have worked in the construction industry for a minimum of 10 years, having progressed through to a Project management position.

Will have experience delivering projects in a ‘live trading environment’.

Will be located on or close to the Gold Coast.
