Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security is seeking an experienced Project Risk Officer to support complex programs by driving effective risk management strategies and ensuring project success.

Duties of the Project Risk Officer

• Run risk management and planning workshops;
• Develop risk management artefacts e.g. Risk Management Plan, Business Rules and Risk Monitoring Dashboard etc;
• Setup processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organisations Risk Management Framework;
• Coach and mentor project team members on risk management practices.
• Conduct regular risk and issue review meetings with relevant stakeholder to ensure risks and issues are addressed and up-to-date;
• Develop and implement and/or maintain relevant risk management processes and procedures;
• Contribute to Program and Project monthly reporting.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience in applying risk management methodologies aligned with best practice international standards (e.g. ISO 31000:2018);
• Able to manage Project risks, dependencies and opportunities;
• Previous experience in project delivery;
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders from junior to senior management;
• Experience with the identification and management of continuous improvement initiatives as outlined in international standards.
