Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, require the services of a Project Manager to lead network implementation projects.

Duties of the Project Manager

• Manage project activities, inputs, & outputs in accordance with Department practices, methods, & standards;
• Lead & direct cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives;
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, & resource allocation. Identify and manage risks & opportunities, incorporating them into planning, decision-making, & priority setting;
• Analyse project performance, develop strategies to achieve outcomes, & initiate corrective actions as needed;
• Develop, maintain, & prepare project documents, reports, and submissions, including those for higher delegate and committee consideration;
• Elevate Program Governance;
• Establish a unified governance framework that aligns with broader Organisational processes for the Enterprise Networks product (stage-gate reviews, decision-rights matrix, escalation paths).

Skills and Experience Required

• 3-10 years project-related experience and/or Project Manager role;
• Able to apply project management methodologies and practices, e.g. Prince2 and PMBOK;
• Proficiency using project management tools.
