General Foreman Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven General Foreman to lead delivery on high-spec, high-rise Class 2 residential apartment projects across Sydney.

This is a senior site-based leadership role, responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all construction activities meet Coplex’s exacting standards for safety, quality, and compliance.

As part of an ICIRT-accredited builder, you’ll uphold professionalism and trust, ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities.

Oversee daily site operations to achieve program, safety, and quality targets.

Manage all aspects of Class 2 residential compliance and certification requirements.

Drive construction programs and monitor progress using tools such as MS Project.

Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and reinforce a strong safety culture.

Ensure compliance with Building Codes, Australian Standards, and WHS legislation.

Review and manage construction documentation, including programs, quality assurance, and safety plans.

Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Consultants, and subcontractors to maintain open communication.

Maintain accurate site reporting and contribute to a positive, productive site culture.

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-spec, high-rise Class 2 residential apartment projects.

Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

Experience working with a Tier 2 main contractor or developer/builder is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of construction documentation (construction, program, quality, safety).

Exceptional time management and able to oversee all site aspects while remaining hands-on.

Confident leader with excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Background in carpentry, providing a solid understanding of finishing trades.

Comprehensive knowledge of Building Codes, Australian Standards, and WHS regulations.

Skilled in construction planning, ideally with MS Project.

Relevant trade qualification or construction management credentials preferred.

Current White Card, First Aid, and relevant tickets.

Full Australian work rights are essential.
