About the role

North Coast Mower Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Nambour, Queensland. As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of small engine-powered equipment, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power tools. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a thriving local business and contribute to the smooth operation of our customers' equipment.

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with small engines and related systems

Performing routine maintenance and servicing tasks, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and filter replacements

Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components to restore equipment to optimal working condition

Test-running repaired equipment to ensure proper operation

Providing excellent customer service by advising customers on maintenance requirements and recommended repairs

Maintaining accurate records of all work performed

Adhering to all safety protocols and workshop procedures

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in small engine repair, such as a Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology (Small Engine Technology) preferred but not required

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar role

Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in small engine repair and maintenance

Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills

Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Must hold Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
