About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join our team at AB Group Pty Ltd in Somerton, VIC. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work when it suits you best.

Full-time hours are available for candidates seeking consistent work opportunities within this casual arrangement.

What you'll be doing

Performing maintenance and repair work on a variety of mechanical equipment

Working with all mechanical systems including general machinery, heavy industrial equipment, and manufacturing equipment

Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery

Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks

Fabricating replacement parts as required

Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

Working collaboratively with the wider maintenance team

What we're looking for

Qualified Fitter & Turner with 5+ years' experience in a similar role

Trade Certificate III qualification required for this position

Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair techniques

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to working safely and following procedures

Valid work authorisation required to work in Australia
