Commercial Litigation Lawyer (1 to 2+ years PQE)

Shaba & Thomas Lawyers is a law firm with offices in Liverpool and Sydney CBD. Our firm provides legal services in commercial and corporate matters to an array of clients such as small to medium-sized businesses, corporate clients, financial services providers, sports clubs, accountants, and high net worth individuals.

We are currently looking to employ a Commercial Litigation Lawyer with 1 to 2+ years post qualification experience at our Liverpool office. The successful candidate will be working on a variety of commercial litigation matters ranging from construction disputes, general commercial disputes, tax and revenue disputes and property disputes. The successful candidate will also be delegating work to junior staff within the firm. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a growing firm and grow within the firm over time.

The Successful Candidate

To be a successful candidate you must:

Hold a practicing certificate issued by the Law Society of New South Wales.

Be admitted to practice as a lawyer in New South Wales

Have some experience as a solicitor employed by a law practice.

Have a minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) as a solicitor

Have an understanding of Court processes and procedures.

Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Have good attention to detail.

Be organized and meet deadlines effectively.

Have the ability to meet budgets.

Be proactive.
