Your new role
Your new role as an Administrator you will join an establish accounting firm located on the skirt of the Adelaide CBD. You will be an integral part of a robust firm responsible for duties not limited to:
- Provide reception support two days per week, including managing incoming calls and assisting with administrative tasks.
- Collaborate closely with senior accountants to support daily operations and client deliverables.
- Maintain ASIC compliance requirements and manage associated documentation.
- Handle phone enquiries and manage email correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks (training provided as required).
- Prepare and distribute client correspondence, including letters and official documents.
- Utilise ASIC systems, ATO portals, and accounting software such as Xero, FYI, BGL, and ATO Mate.
- Organise and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following criteria:
- Strong organisational skills to manage reception duties, administrative tasks, and file coordination effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for handling phone enquiries, email correspondence, and client interactions professionally.
- High attention to detail when preparing letters, managing compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to learn and adapt to bookkeeping processes and financial administration tasks as required.
- Proficiency or willingness to develop skills in using accounting and compliance systems such as ASIC, ATO portals, and Xero (including FYI, BGL, ATO Mate).
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with senior accountants and supporting team objectives.
