Central Shipping Containers is a growing business specialising in the sale and hire of shipping containers, self-storage, transport services, and truck parking. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable service, strong customer relationships, and efficient operations.
Weโre looking for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines office administration, finance tasks, customer service, transport coordination, and light sales support across multiple parts of the business.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, youโll play a vital part in supporting our day-to-day operations. Your duties will include:
๐งพ Reconciling accounts in Xero to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records
๐ณ Managing Direct Debit payments through GoCardless
๐ผ Preparing and sending invoices to customers
๐ Managing and updating spreadsheets for containers, transport, storage, and truck parking
๐ Administrative support for:
Booking and scheduling transport jobs
Container sales and deliveries
Self-storage customers and truck parking management
๐งโโ๏ธ Signing up new customers, capturing details, and ensuring smooth onboarding
๐ฐ Taking payments (in person, over the phone, or online)
๐ท๏ธ Assisting with sales tasks, including:
Showing customers shipping containers and rental containers on-site
Providing product information and assisting with quotes or availability
๐ General office administration, customer enquiries, and follow-ups
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, youโll bring:
Experience in administration, bookkeeping, or customer service
Proficiency in Xero (essential)
Experience with GoCardless or similar direct debit/payment systems (preferred)
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
Confidence in speaking with customers and assisting with on-site sales
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to help across different areas of the business
