Brunel is currently seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator (Civil) to join a leading mining organisation, working across major brownfield and greenfield infrastructure projects in Western Australia. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordinating multiple civil construction packages within a world-class operational environment.

Description

This 18-month civil construction program involves significant bulk earthworks, the placement of over 5,000m³ of concrete, construction of deep foundations, footings, pedestals, and complex suspended slab structures within a new process plant.

Duties include:

• Supervise and coordinate multiple civil contractors across a complex construction program
• Act as the key interface between Contractors, Engineering Service Providers (ESP), and internal project teams
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
• Oversee QA/QC procedures, including ITP/ITR implementation and validation
• Lead hazard and risk assessments and ensure safety compliance is maintained across site
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with scope, technical specifications, project schedule and budget
• Monitor and report on contractor progress, resolve on-site issues, and manage scope changes
• Coordinate permits, approvals, and access with relevant stakeholders including operational and maintenance teams

Profile

• Extensive experience in construction or heavy industry, with strong experience in a civil EPCM or client-side role is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities
• In-depth knowledge of bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, and concrete operations
• Excellent understanding of QA/QC processes, safety legislation, and site compliance
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and contractor deliverables
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
• Due to the remote location of this role candidates SOR will have a distinct advantage
• You must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant technical background in Civil or Bulk Earthworks
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management (preferred)
• Completion of BSBWHS414 & BSBWHS411 (preferred)
