Marine Fitters (Permanent)

Based in the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, Sea Harvest Marine trading as Kailis Marine is now seeking applications for the position of Permanent Marine Fitter for its marine engineering operations. The position is full time, minimum 38 hours per week.

This will suit tradespeople looking to move out of the FIFO world, or a large impersonal contract workforce.

The Kailis Marine workforce comprises multicultural, team-oriented, long serving employees with a fun and vibrant, can-do culture operating along the Western Australia coast with facilities in Fremantle, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Broome and Pt Samson.

The successful candidate shall ideally have at least 2 years fitter experience, ideally in the commercial marine industry and hold the relevant trade qualification.

Candidates must be competent in the removal, repairs and installation of marine vessel machinery and associated mechanical systems including propeller shafts, pumps and engines.

An hourly rate of $48 per hour ($94,848 per annum) plus overtime loadings shall be negotiated commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualification and experience.
