An exciting company in the financial services industry is looking to hire a Senior Security Analyst / Engineer. The company is well established in the Australian market and has grown to over 250 employees nation-wide. The Cyber Security Engineer will work as part of a team of 6, across both Security Engineering and Security Operations and will have a strong background in incident response to ensure the business-critical applications and platform is secure.

The ideal candidate would have experience with Application Security or wants to develop their skills further in application security.

What you will be doing:

• Delivery critical cyber security incident response
• Support security monitoring, research, assessment and analysis of enterprise security tools
• Perform risk assessment on new threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate, document and respond to cyber security issues
• Work on projects to enhance the company's security
• Adhere to related compliance and frameworks, ie APRA CPS 234, SOC 2, ISO27001

What you need to succeed:

• Proven experience in Cyber Security Operations & Incident Response
• Experience supporting business-critical infrastructure within financial services
• Proven experience with SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, IAM ( Tenable, CyberArk, Elastic )
• Hands on experience with Cloud Security ( AWS / Azure )
• Experience working with APRA, ISO27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS
• Security Automation SOAR
• Experience with Application Security would be advantageous
• Scripting / Programming skills ( bonus )
• Effective communication skills
