As a result of significant ongoing organic growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join our dynamic Sydney team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial or Management Accountant looking to step up into a Finance Manager role.

Responsibilities include:

Provide support and direction to AP & AR functions within the team

Daily cashflow tracking and working capital projections

Overhead cost management including preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasting and monthly variance analysis

GL journal postings including month end GL processing

Responsible for all statutory reporting including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and industry specific reporting

Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations

Monthly reporting on project performance and financial KPIs

Monthly Financial Statement preparation including Work in Progress calculations

Manage the Payroll function

Key point of contact for annual external audit and financial report preparation

Assist CFO with ad hoc financial and commercial related projects

Requirements:

Completed or nearing completion of CPA or CA program

At least 5 years’ commercial accounting experience

Excellent writing, communication and teamworking skills (as the senior member of the finance team you will play a leadership role while ensuring team objectives are met in a supportive and collaborative environment)

Strong Excel and data analytics skills

Ability to learn and adapt to accounting software

Friendly and approachable with ability to enforce internal controls and governance

Construction experience highly desirable (but not essential)
