Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
• Conducting commercial reviews of contracts and identify key issues, scope deviations, and providing construction solutions.
• Preparing accurate bills of quantities, cost estimates and project schedules.
• Managing tendering and quoting procedures, ensuring submissions meet client requirements.
• Identifying project cost risks and opportunities.
• Analysing project profitability and unit costs to improve tender success rates.
• Liaising effectively with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Attend site inspections and client meetings as required.

Experience Required:

• Previous experience as an Estimator within the civil construction industry – earthworks, pipeline installation, drainage…
• Experience in reading and interpreting drawings and plans
• Well-developed communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Confident in your competency level utilising software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite / Excel. Previous exposure to Expert Estimator is advantageous.
