Kimberley Manufacturing are northern WA’s leading fabricator of steel wall frames, roof trusses and pre-fabricated modular structures, based in Broome we offer a dynamic and supportive workplace dedicated to growing our community with innovative and high quality products.

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our manufacturing team in Broome WA. This full-time role plays a key part in our management and production operations.

What you'll be doing as estimator

• Liaise with customers, engineers and our operations team preparing quotes

• Work with operations to put in place project management plans

• Work with our drafting team to identify cost savings and efficiencies

• Work with our purchasing team to identify generic opportunities

What you’ll be doing as part of the management team

• Managing work allocations and TQ within our drafting team (internal and external)

• Assist and supervise our drafties working with customers and engineers to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently

• Promote efficient design to enable cost savings

• Promote innovation in our design team processes

What we're looking for

• Experience as an estimator in construction or steel manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and work instructions

• Excellent computer and communication skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality work

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues

• Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team

• Previous experience with Vertex BD, Howick roll formers and cyclonic requirements highly desired

• Project management experience highly valued
