About the role
Join our growing team at BuildSkills Australia as a People and Culture (P&C) Coordinator. This full-time, hybrid role is based in our head office in Newstead, Brisbane, with the flexibility to work partially from home, and plays a key role in supporting our people operations and enhancing the employee experience across Australia.
What you'll be doing
Support and coordinate end-to-end management of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, L&D and off boarding
Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS systems
Assist with the coordination and execution of people-focused initiatives, including engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
Support internal L&D & liaise with training providers
Prepare employee documentation and assist with compliance, reporting and policy updates
Be a trusted point of contact and provide advice on P&C policies and procedures
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and tools
Provide general admin support, including to the Office of the CEO
What we're looking for
Relevant degree-qualification in human resources, organisational psychology or a related field (essential)
Min 2 years of recent experience in a generalist HR or P&C administration/ coordination role (essential)
Strong organisational and problem solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS (Employment Hero is a plus!)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
A positive attitude and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Knowledge of Australian employment legislation is desired
