GPS Electrical Services is an industrial electrical contractor delivering projects and services across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and other process-driven industries. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, design-and-construct electrical solutions, we are expanding into Ballarat and seeking a driven Project Manager to lead existing projects and develop new opportunities in the region.

About the Role:

As the Electrical Project Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of industrial projects while helping to grow GPS Electrical Services’ presence in Ballarat. This hands-on role combines project leadership, technical input, client relationship management, and business development—supported by our Melbourne head office. It’s an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to drive high-quality outcomes, build local partnerships, and play a key role in expanding a respected national organisation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Management: Deliver end-to-end projects, from bidding through to design, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Business Development: Build and maintain local relationships with our national customer base across a wide range of industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Industrial Electrical Expertise: Apply your experience as an industrial electrician across switchboards, control systems, and plant infrastructure.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Melbourne head office for resources, design support, and delivery teams.

Project Controls: Maintain project schedules, budgets, and profitability.

Team Leadership: Mentor subcontractors and foster relationships with trusted partners.

Quality & Compliance: Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Risk & Safety Management: Implement and oversee risk management and safety systems, including SWMS and assessments.

Travel: Be available to travel as required to support project and client needs.

What we are looking for:

Minimum 5+ years in electrical project management roles within industrial or infrastructure sectors.

A current VIC electrical licence.

A self-motivated leader with the drive to build a presence and grow our Ballarat client base.

Hands-on experience in LV switchboards, distribution boards, panel boards, control panels, and MCCs.

Demonstrated industrial experience across either manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or other process industries.

Project Management qualifications are an advantage.
