About your new Role!

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Financial Accountant position plays a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining effective internal controls, and supporting business improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role that will suit a technically capable accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end journal preparation, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
• General ledger reconciliations and investigation of variances
• Preparation of management and performance reports, including sales and profitability analysis
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers and lease accounting system updates
• Support statutory audits through preparation of working papers and schedules
• Assist with tax compliance including GST, payroll tax and income tax returns
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely collections and payments
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Contribute to process improvement and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies

About You!

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Experience within a product-based sector is preferable but not essential
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or another large ERP system
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, organised, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
