About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Psychologist or Social Worker to work closely with children, young people and their families who have experienced, or are at risk of harm. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families.
- Level 6 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $110,110 - $114,984 + Superannuation.
- Full-time, Government funded position until 30 June 2027 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding therapeutic services to children, young people and their families in the Therapy and Education Services.
- Identify and work toward client goals, and achieve successful case outcomes for clients.
- Regularly attend and participate in supervision, case reviews and other case discussions as required.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local community and government agencies.
- Encouraging and strengthening supportive relationships with adult caregivers.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Psychology or Social Work).
- Provisional memberships are desirable.
- At least two years’ experience working with children, young people and their families or at least two years’ experience working in similar roles.
- Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
- Understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.
- Knowledge of current trauma treatment trends and child protection legislation and policy reforms.
- A high level of cultural awareness and experience working with families from different backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legal ability to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
