About Gough Plastics:

Gough Plastics is a local family company, we take pride in manufacturing our products right here in Townsville and exporting them to destinations worldwide. We currently have a team of 35 people, growing to 50 within 2 years. Our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We are recruiting for a second/third year apprentice who is progressing towards obtaining CERT 111 Boiler Maker/Welding or a person who has already a Boiler Maker/Welder certification

About the Role:

General Fabrication including Road Trailers (water tankers)/Supporting Frames.

Structural Welding (e.g. mould fames, lifting points)

Mould Maintenance

· Rust Prevention

· Spray Painting

· Panel Beating

Skills/Qualifications:

· Qualified Boilermaker or close too

· Resilience – Mental toughness to endure repeat repair work

· Attitude – Get better, wanting to improve and can improvise

· Adaptive- can handle disruption

· Methodical/Pride – likes to oversee well maintained equipment

· Pass a Drug & Alcohol test

· Be proficient with hand tools

· Carry out physical work with ease

· Follow Work Health and Safety policies and procedures

· Communicate effectively

· Work in a team environment

· Have a forklift licence(desirable)
