About the role

At Jupiter Creek Group, we are seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Assistant Manager to join our team in our Tailem Bend, SA location. This full-time role will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of our poultry farming business.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing the efficient and effective running of all aspects of the poultry farm operations

Monitor and maintain the health and wellbeing of our poultry flock

Ensure all farming equipment and infrastructure is well-maintained and in good working order

Implement and oversee biosecurity and food safety protocols

Assist with the supervision and training of the farm's operational staff

Contribute to the development and implementation of farming strategies and initiatives

Liaise with suppliers, contractors and regulatory bodies as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience working in a poultry or other livestock farm environment

Strong practical knowledge of poultry farming practices, including flock health, nutrition, housing and equipment

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently

Proficient in the use of farming equipment and technology

Passion for sustainable and ethical farming practices

Relevant tertiary qualifications in agriculture or a related field would be an advantage
