About the Company

The Role
You'll lead daily operations of an 850-cow dairy farm, ensuring optimal animal health, production targets, and safety standards. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll drive operational excellence while implementing sustainable farming practices.
Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and direct farm staff to achieve production and safety targets
• Implement stock rotations and develop feed budgets to support budgeted outcomes
• Monitor animal health and welfare, maintaining accurate treatment and feeding records
• Coordinate contractors for fertiliser application and hay/silage making activities
• Conduct paddock inspections and manage pasture quality and availability
• Operate and maintain plant, equipment, water systems and fencing infrastructure

About You

• Proven farm management experience, preferably in dairy operations
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate staff
• Sound understanding of animal health, nutrition and welfare practices
• Experience with modern dairy technology and record-keeping systems
• Commitment to safety protocols and sustainable farming practices
