Mike Carney Toyota, one of North Queensland’s leading automotive dealerships, is on the lookout for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Level 1 IT Help Desk Support. The Role
Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, you will be the first point of contact for IT-related support across our dealership. You’ll play a key role in maintaining day-to-day IT operations, ensuring hardware and software systems are running smoothly, and providing outstanding support to our internal users — both onsite and remote.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st level support across Microsoft environments (Windows, Office 365, etc.)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues over the phone, via remote desktop, or in person
Set up, deploy, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Log and manage all tickets in our internal system, including resolution documentation
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support while maintaining communication on progress
Assist in IT documentation, user guides, and basic project support
Deliver a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
6–12 months’ experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment (preferred but not essential)
Strong customer service background
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Basic troubleshooting knowledge in hardware, software, and networks
Great phone and email manner with a strong customer-first approach
Qualifications & Requirements
Tertiary qualification or currently studying in IT (TAFE/University) – desirable
Strong computer literacy including MS Office and ticketing/CRM systems
National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Full Australian working rights
