A WA owned and operated business for over 25 years, Alcaro Motion and Control specialises in mining, agricultural and industrial repairs with hydraulics as a speciality. With a workshop in Bullsbrook, as well as the capability to provide fully equipped mobile services, we’re able to change out redundant products, repair and replace equipment and design or upgrade old equipment as required.
The Role: Mechanical Fitter
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and hydraulic systems and components across various Industries. Your work will ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery essential to our clients' businesses. If you possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a drive to solve challenges, this position will offer a highly rewarding and engaging experience.
Job Description
· Diagnose issues and carry out troubleshooting tasks to ensure proper machinery functionality.
· Diagnose faults, dismantle and replace defective parts.
· Disassemble, inspect and reassemble equipment, ensuring high-quality repair and refurbishment.
· Perform maintenance, installations and troubleshooting of mechanical, piping and hydraulic systems.
· Conduct preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment works according to manufacturer's specifications.
· Interpret technical drawing, specifications and schematics to guide your work.
· Strong problem-solving skills and capacity for independent decision-making.
· Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
· Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all safety and quality instructions.
· Collaborate with other team members to perform efficient installations and repairs.
· Drivers Licence.
Skills and Qualifications
· Cert III in Mechanical or equivalent.
· 1-2 Years Experience after trade qualification completed.
· Experience with repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
· Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
· Strong Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
· Understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.
Desirable Skills and qualifications
· Manual Drivers Licence
· Flexibility to work on site, in workshop environments, and travel when needed.
