Topdrill, a leading privately-owned drilling services company based in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, is on a mission to become the Top name in drilling. Specializing in Reverse Circulation (RC) and Diamond Drilling (DD), we aim to be the partner of choice for exploration drilling across Australia.
We are seeking a motivated and commercially curious graduate to join our Business Development team. This role offers exposure to strategic thinking, market analysis, and commercial decision-making in a fast-paced, evolving business. The successful candidate will also assist in creating our comprehensive mining and exploration database to guide the Group’s expansion and will work closely with senior leadership and contribute to initiatives that shape Topdrill’s growth and industry presence.
The role will be based in the Perth Head Office on a permanent full-time (Monday-Friday) basis. You will be mentored within the Business Development team but will have direct access to Senior Management and our extensive list of Top Tier Clients.
This role is a balance between technical data structuring and understanding commercial strategies, therefore we welcome applicants from both geology and commercial backgrounds. Candidates with cross-disciplinary experience or a strong interest in bridging technical insights with business decision-making will be highly regarded. We also welcome applicants with 1–2 years of relevant work experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor industry trends by leveraging our internal tools and competitor performance to provide valuable insights for strategic planning
• Assist in gathering and structuring our exploration data (geological, operational, financial), with opportunities to apply GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) for spatial data analysis and visualisation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with geology, operations, data and finance teams to ensure data alignment and support integrated decision-making
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date entry of client, project, and market data into HubSpot to support business development activities. Regularly audit and clean data to improve usability and reporting accuracy
• Support the contract management system to track contract status, performance, renewals, and obligations, ensuring compliance and data integrity
• Participate in strategic discussions and contribute to the development of business initiatives and reporting
• Support client targeting and engagement efforts, including research, preparation of briefing materials, and involvement in early-stage client interactions
