Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant

Part-time (3-4 days per week) with potential to transition to full-time in the future.

Days: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (school hours flexibility)

We are a boutique Chartered Accountant firm, based in North Sydney providing accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory services to a diverse range of clients. We're looking for an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong bookkeeping and accounting experience who can work independently with minimal supervision. You'll be responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and client file management.

Key responsivities will include

Proficiency in English and MS Office – Must have

General administrative duties

Management of multiple client's data files

Process accounts payable and receivable

Reconciliation (Bank accounts, credit cards and balance sheet)

Assist in the preparation of BAS and IAS and Payroll Tax

Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations

You'll be responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and client file management

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and other accounting tools

About You

Minimum 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or assistant accounting roles

Ability to work independently and "hit the ground running" no in-depth training provided

High attention to detail and accuracy

Professional communication and client service skills
