The role

Killmore Plant Services Pty Ltd, a well-established family company based in Kiama NSW 2533, is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join their team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day accounting operations of the business.

Key responsibilities

Manage accounts payable, including bill payments, and reconciliations

Prepare and process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and generating payslips

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, cash flow, and bank reconciliations

Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and tax returns

Provide support to the management team by answering financial inquiries and offering insights

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or small practice accounting role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks)

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

Proficient in using spreadsheets and other relevant accounting tools

Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively

Good communication skills to interact with the management team and external stakeholders
