An opportunity is now available for an experienced Reservations manager with lite operations to join our team.

Our tours are small: 10 people maximum and our in-water interactions maintain a single group, no switching between multiple groups of people on our tours. We are the first and only company on the Ningaloo reef to take this approach, and we do this, so visitors get the best chance of meaningful time with wildlife. Our approach highlights our passion for savouring the moments and sharing the Ningaloo life.

They juggle between adverse weather conditions whilst still putting their game face on filling space on one of our amazing tours the next.
Your role as Reservations manager and light operations is the go-to person between the owners and everyone else. This position is the glue holding the details together, responsible for making a great first impression to visitors, selling tours, planning, and coordinating the tour to ensure the crew are prepared and managing the various extras and projects we have going on in the background. We want you to be proactive in making changes to systems and procedures to optimise productivity, create efficiencies, reduce errors, and grow sales.
This role will require candidates to live and work in Exmouth, WA.
Candidates must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
Key responsibilities will include, not limited to:
Managing all communication points
Conduit between all things and people inside and outside of the organisation
Ensuring every guest has an easy and enjoyable booking experience via management of phone, email, social media, and website enquiries
Aiming to exceed targets set for tour bookings monthly
Regular review and update of digital marketing content
Scheduling and pricing of all tours and maintaining correct availability via our booking software, third party sites, and internal documents
Assisting guests in their questions about the region, other tours they should check out anything that will make their time whilst on holiday memorable
Liaising with affiliates, when necessary, locally, and abroad
Identifying opportunities for sales growth and assisting with the development of products and marketing strategies to target new markets
Providing crew and owner briefings and reporting
Management of vessels stock inventory levels, paperwork, and manuals
Ensuring scheduled reservation payments are made on time
Reviewing copy on marketing material including the website
Reviewing and delivering the behind-the-scenes tasks & projects to ensure smooth operation of business
Sourcing new opportunities that may benefit the organisation
Managing all documents and content (video / photos) including backups
Maintaining systems that are in place currently and improving on them as you acquire knowledge
Managing all data collection points with ability to synthesise information into useable reports for owners
Setting up automations with current programs in place (Monday.com) for better internal flow
Prepping digital marketing pieces
About you:
To win this role you will be a multi-talented individual with experience in management, communications, sales, visitor relations, event coordination, and scheduling with a dash of marketing and basic finance abilities.
You have love for adventure and an ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds, giving you an edge in the sales space. No high-pressure sales tactics! Finesse is required to set expectations correctly whilst still seeking to find the right solution to match your customer's needs and get bums in seats. You are an energetic, warm, and loyal team player who will work happily without supervision and prefer autonomy.
Ideally, you will have:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing a team
Experience in fast-paced sales/guest relations/marketing roles preferably in a supervisory/management capacity.
A minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience is required for this role.
A high level of attention to detail and strong organisational and administrative skills
A creative flair and eye for marketing materials
Excellent technology skills across MS Office, Outlook, WordPress, MailChimp, Canva, social media and finance software (Xero). Experience with booking software FareHarbor an advantage, but training and support will be offered so not essential
Reliable availability for full-time hours, Monday to Friday. Weekend cover required during the season
Copywriting skills are an advantage
Digital marketing skills are an advantage
Applicants with knowledge and execution of API's and automation technology will receive preference
What we are offering:
$70,000 wage with room to grow as the business grows
Crew dinner is provided monthly
Onsite accommodation can be provided if needed
Unlimited access to tour days on your off time (providing there is space on the vessel) to get your ocean fix
