About the role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to join our team at Community Living Australia in Mount Barker. This is a full-time role responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our properties and facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and provide a safe, comfortable environment for our clients.
This role involves liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including employees, landlords, agents, contractors, insurance providers, security services, and housing providers to coordinate maintenance, inspections, relocations, and compliance activities. Some travel to our regional services may be required.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate and oversee all property and building maintenance (including scheduled/programmed works), ensuring timely completion of requests
Attend ingoing, outgoing and periodic site inspections for properties leased or owned by the organisation
Undertake site inspections and manage the replacement of communal property assets (CPAM)
Coordinate electrical safety testing and tagging across multiple sites
Organise servicing of fire safety equipment at relevant locations. Maintain security registers and provide advice to staff on security matters. Liaise with contractors to ensure optimal outcomes
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, agents, and Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) providers to support property up-keep and inspections
Maintain accurate fleet records, including registers, maintenance schedules, and booking systems for pool vehicles
What we're looking for
Certificate IV in Administration or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-4 years equivalent experience may substitute for Certificate IV in Administration
Property Manager Registration/license (achieved or working towards)
Property Manager Registration/licence must be obtained within 6 months
Property Management experience desirable
Have and maintain a current Australian Class 1 Drivers Licence for duration of employment
Obtain and maintain a DHS General Employment Probity Check
Obtain and maintain a Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate (where applicable)
