The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead our human resources function, supporting our people strategy and helping drive organisational growth. You will be a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring our HR practices foster a positive culture, support staff development, and maintain rigorous compliance. This role is pivotal in helping the Club achieve operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on ethical, compliant, and people-focused practices.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Leadership & People Management

Full recruitment life cycle including selection, onboarding, induction, and offboarding of staff

Foster employee engagement, performance evaluation, and professional development

Implement reward, recognition, and incentive programs to motivate and retain high-performing teams

Lead employee discipline, conflict resolution, and counselling to ensure a positive work environment

Advise managers on organisational policies, including equal opportunity, harassment, and workplace conduct

Provide performance feedback and coaching to department heads and staff

Manage HR metrics and reporting, including hires, turnover, absenteeism, and performance reviews

Policy, Compliance & Legislation

Maintain, develop, and implement HR policies, processes, and procedures aligned with legislation and industry standards

Ensure compliance with WHS, Fair Work, Privacy, and other relevant legislation

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 and its practical application across payroll, rostering and employment practices

Oversee payroll processing and HR record management

Implement diversity and inclusion initiatives across all areas of the Club

Workplace Culture & Growth

Work hands-on alongside the team to foster a collaborative, respectful, and positive workplace culture

Lead and coordinate all staff training initiatives, both internal and external, ensuring team knowledge and capability

Support the growth of the Club, including international events and expanding service offerings, by ensuring HR practices support operational excellence

Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve business operations, customer service, and staff performance

Maintain awareness of Club procedures, including Fire & Emergency protocols

Ensure correct procedures and followed for probation, counselling, and termination requirements

Provide strategic input into HR planning, goal setting, and organisational development

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in HR management, ideally within hospitality, clubs, or a fast-paced service environment

Deep understanding of the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 and related employment legislation

Strong focus on compliance, ethics, and operational risk management

Commitment to learning, development, and continuous improvement with a growth mindset

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture and drive engagement initiatives

Hands-on, solution-focused approach to HR operations
