About the role

Bowral Street Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our well-established and growing practice in Bowral, NSW. This is a part-time role, with the opportunity to work up to 3 days per week. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental team and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.

This position requires availability to work weekdays only.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working area

Sterilising and preparing instruments and equipment for each patient

Greeting patients, taking impressions, and performing other basic clinical tasks

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Ensuring our practice remains clean, organised, and well-stocked

Providing exceptional customer service to our patients throughout their visits

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely

Proficient in using dental equipment and software (training provided if needed)

A friendly, caring, and customer-focused attitude

A commitment to maintaining a high standard of infection control and patient safety

Must possess valid work visa or Australian work rights
