Senior Electrical Engineer Sustaining Capital Projects
This Perth-based role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of sustaining capital projects across tier-one mining clients. You'll join a collaborative engineering team focused on delivering high-quality electrical design and project solutions across multiple commodities.

Role Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering services provider. In this role, you'll work across diverse sustaining capital projects, supporting clients in gold, lithium, nickel, and mineral sands, while contributing to both design and commissioning phases. This position offers the chance to develop solutions across HV and LV electrical systems, vendor packages, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
• Strong background in the mining/resources sector, ideally with sustaining capital project experience
• Prior experience in an engineering services environment
• Ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses, and report on results
• Demonstrated expertise in both LV and HV design, with exposure to vendor packages
• Proficiency in producing and reviewing engineering documentation technical drawings, datasheets, specifications, scopes of work, and material requisitions
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards and industry best practice compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers
• Knowledge of commissioning and site support activities
• Familiarity with procurement processes, schedules, and vendor liaison

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design expertise across a range of sustaining capital projects
• Conduct and review technical analyses and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Produce, review, and approve engineering deliverables including drawings, datasheets, and scopes of work
• Support procurement through preparation of vendor packages and clarifications
• Lead and participate in design reviews, providing guidance to junior engineers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver safe and efficient solutions
• Provide subject matter expertise across project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning support
