Embedded Expertise have secured an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our clients Perth-based team on a 12-month contract, commencing immediately. This is a leadership-focused role offering the opportunity to contribute to a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with a strong emphasis on design and plant optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical and instrumentation design activities across complex heavy industry projects.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering documentation including specifications, reports, drawings, and scopes of work.
• Support construction and commissioning phases with hands-on involvement and technical guidance.
• Conduct site investigations, develop scopes, and manage contractor performance.
• Engage with clients regularly, ensuring clear and professional communication throughout project lifecycles.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7-10 years of professional engineering experience within Australia.
• Proven expertise in electrical and instrumentation design for heavy industry applications.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in hazardous area design and equipment specification.
• Proficiency in functional safety lifecycle documentation
• Experience with Control Systems
• Skilled in early-stage studies and electrical system calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating engineering teams.
• Chartered or Registered Engineer not essential

This is a contract position with good rates of pay, diversity in the role and WFH options. You must be based in Perth with full working rights for Australia to apply. This could be the role to get you started.
