Your Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care tailored to the correctional environment, managing a wide range of health issues unique to this setting.
• Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management, and emergency response within secure facilities.
• Deliver care that respects security protocols while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Work closely with correctional officers, medical teams, mental health specialists, and allied health professionals to support holistic inmate care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with all safety and infection control standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (unrestricted).
• Must have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
• Minimum 4 years nursing experience, preferably with correctional or forensic healthcare exposure.
• Strong clinical skills including emergency response, medication administration, and chronic disease management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within secure environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with patients, security staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel and commit to 4-12 week locum contracts in regional or remote correctional facilities.
