About Us:
Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) is responsible for the delivery of health service to prisoners in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC), Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) and prisoner workcamps. COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1300 male prisoners within Capricorn Correctional Centre and Capricorn Correctional Farm. The needs of this client group vary widely, and COHS requires a flexible system that responds to urgent/non-urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative health needs.
About the role:
The role will have a holistic approach including early identification and intervention, treatment and management of prisoners on the Opioid Dependence Treatment program, care planning, therapeutic interventions with an identified focus on the health education, health promotion, harm minimisation, and referral to appropriate health services.
About you:
- Must have a current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate relevant, prompt and accurate information in all methods of communication. Including the use of information systems appropriate to the position.
- Demonstrates an ability to establish and maintain skills in interpersonal and therapeutic relationships with health consumers.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
- An hourly rate between $51.33 - $65.84 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
