Bid Manager

· Join a local Australian business as they develop into a full turnkey provider of quality commercial structures.

· $120,000 – $140,000 per annum + super + laptop based on skills and experience.

· Located in Wangaratta – Monday to Friday – Full time Permanent Position

Our client is a well-established, family-run business that designs, produces, delivers, and installs steel framing for commercial sheds across both private and government projects. As they expand into a full turnkey provider – including design, construction, civil works, fit-out, and landscaping – they are looking for a Bid Manager to join their growing team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Design, the Bid Manager is responsible for producing smart designs and accurate estimates to create winning proposals that set projects up for success.

The high-value activities in this role include:

Accurately scoping client requirements in partnership with Sales

Reviewing and creating concept designs for efficiency, cost savings, and client impact

Developing compelling proposals that showcase turnkey solutions and capture client attention

Liaising with Procurement to ensure supplier and subcontractor quotes are accurate and competitive

Driving thorough documentation and smooth handovers with the Pre-Construction and Operations teams

Occasional site visits will help you build a strong understanding of projects and ensure proposals are practical, creative, and client focused.

What You’ll Bring

3+ years’ experience in estimating, bidding, or tendering (construction, steel, or related industries)

Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings

Commercial awareness with the ability to create client-first proposals

Proven ability to manage stakeholders with varied working styles (sales, pre-construction, operations)

Advanced Excel skills: experience with Nexvia and Hubspot highly regarded
