We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Scheduler/Allocator to join our team.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and experience with heavy vehicle operations and subcontractor management, overseeing logistics operations and client relations.

The Allocator will be responsible for managing day-to-day Allocations, support compliance with NHVR, ensuring smooth material delivery, compliance with regulatory standards and overseeing fleet activities.

Salary:

$120,000 - $160,000 (inclusive of super)

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Managing the day-to-day running of trucks and drivers – Lead and mentor a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, support and fostering a collaborative work environment.

· Servicing clients - Developing and maintaining relationships with top-end clients. Monitor and prioritise jobs based on customer usage.

· Rostering all drivers - Optimise resource allocation to meet customer demand while controlling expenses. Conduct regular toolbox meetings.

· Compliance (CoR) – Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, transportation regulations and company policies to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Processing paperwork ensuring fatigue management compliance. Oversee Vehicle incidents, including investigations and claims. Liaise with regulatory authority and/or government body in regard to heavy vehicle routes and permits including vehicle access, PBS, etc. Ensure compliance with NHVR.

· Allocating - Ensuring efficient route planning and cost-effective operations. This role coordinates and facilitates communication between our Local Drivers and delivery locations to ensure timely and safe deliveries and collections for our business customers. Working with Operations Manager to maintain team culture and morale.

· Completion of ADHOC activities and coordination with the operations team to ensure seamless workflow and project execution.

· Be available on call to respond to operational needs or after hour issues as required.

Qualifications/Experience:

· Experience: 3-5 years previous experience in bulk construction materials fleet allocation/scheduling is a MUST.

· Chain of Responsibility Attainment

· Excellent communication and client building skills

· Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to rapid decision making and re-allocation

· Proven problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure

· Ability to adapt and mix with a variety of people

· Legal & WHS knowledge regarding CoR, driving hours and fatigue management

· Extensive knowledge of the Sydney metro area

· Computer literacy

· Desired experience in fast paced role allocating a large fleet of different trucks

· Strong verbal communication, exceptional planning and problem-solving skills

· Resilience, passion, and ability to work under pressure and prioritise.

· A high level of motivation and energy with a strong focus business to business relationships.
