We are looking for a Chef de Partie who has a passion for what they do and an eye for detail.
You must have a fresh clean approach to plating and presentation of dishes. The role forms part of a dynamic kitchen team and will require working knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine and fresh seafood.
Ramsgate Beach House is a licenced venue open 7 days for breakfast and lunch.

The RBH Kiosk opens out on to the beach and promenade.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the quality of ingredients and dishes across the breakfast menu as well as assist with lunch service
• Provide support to the Head and Sous chef with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation and plating
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

Liasing with head chef with food prep and menu planning with Managers, Dieticians, kitchen and waiting staff

Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

Preparing and cooking food

Enforcing hygiene regulations

May help in training and staff hire

Ensure all haccp requirements met

You must
• Have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
• Hold all relevant and current industry certificates
• Up to date knowledge of current food trends
• The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Must have excellent communication skills, approachable manner and a strong customer
service focus
• Professionally presented and well groomed at all times
• Available to work a 5 day roster including weekends and public holidays
• Have full Australian working rights
