Lead road infrastructure and maintenance projects in one of Australia’s most stunning regions
At Noosa Council, we’re different by nature. We’re committed to building a great place to live, work and visit, and we’re looking for a skilled Roads Infrastructure Coordinator to lead our civil operations team and deliver critical road and drainage infrastructure projects across the region.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to take ownership of the planning, maintenance and construction of road networks and civil infrastructure in a dynamic local government environment. You’ll coordinate annual programs such as reseals, resurfacing, gravel road maintenance and reconstruction, while ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Noosa’s unique Design Principles. You’ll also oversee grant-funded programs such as Roads to Recovery and TIDS, balancing technical expertise with hands-on leadership to ensure infrastructure projects enhance liveability, safety and community outcomes.
About You
You’re an experienced civil infrastructure leader with proven success managing multi-disciplined teams in road maintenance and construction. With strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, asset management and road safety standards, you can provide expert advice on complex infrastructure projects while managing budgets, schedules and competing priorities. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders, contractors, and the community, and you bring excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
You’ll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure management (essential)
Extensive experience in road and drainage maintenance, project delivery and asset management
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
High-level knowledge of road safety principles, AustRoads standards and asset management practices (ISO 55000, IPWEA NAMS)
A current White Card and C Class driver’s licence (essential)
RPEQ registration, asset management or road safety auditor qualifications (highly regarded)
