We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Centre Director to join our team at Oakhill Family Centre.
Step into a leadership role where you'll inspire and guide a passionate team of educators to deliver outstanding early learning every day. As Assistant Centre Director, you'll support the Centre Director in driving excellence across operations, pedagogy, and family engagement. Confident and people-focused, you'll help shape a positive team culture and ensure the best outcomes for children and families. When the Centre Director is away, you'll take the lead and keep the centre thriving.
Oakhill Family Centre is an Exceeding-rated family hub providing high-quality, inclusive early education and care for children from birth to five years. With Maternal Health nurses available on site, we offer families comprehensive support during the crucial early years. Our team of nurturing, experienced educators work in partnership with families to deliver a play-based learning program that supports every child to thrive and reach their full potential.
We're seeking a dedicated team member to work full-time in a dynamic role that combines office responsibilities with hands-on support in the rooms alongside educators and children.
This position operates on a rotating roster between 6:45am and 6:00pm, offering variety in your day while ensuring the highest quality of care and support for both staff and children.

- You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate.
About the role
- You'll create a supportive environment where children are safeguarded to learn and grow.
- You'll critically reflect and inspire staff to critically reflect on their pedagogical practice, share ideas and identify innovative ways of achieving positive outcomes for children.
- Contribute to a child safe environment ensuring standards are met on a daily basis.
- Support in leading centre operations, compliance, and budgets
- Develop and support staff growth and culture
- Build partnerships and community engagement
- Ensure safety and wellbeing for all
