We’re seeking a passionate and experienced educator to step into a dual role: Assistant Director & Educational Leader. This is ideal for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) with 3+ years’ experience, or an existing Educational Leader aiming to progress into a leadership role. You’ll both lead the educational direction of the centre and support the operational and leadership functions in partnership with the Director.

As the Assistant Director / Educational Leader, you will:

• Provide pedagogical leadership, mentor educators, guide practice, support planning and documentation
• Ensure Montessori and EYLF-aligned learning experiences across the service
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and quality enhancement (QIP, reviews)
• Support day-to-day leadership duties: assist in staff management, rostering, and deployment
• Contribute to compliance, risk management, WHS, and audit readiness
• Partner with families: strengthen educational partnerships, lead parent communications
• Work collaboratively with the Director and leadership team on strategic goals, budgeting input, and centre growth

Who You Are

• Qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), or Diploma + strong leadership experience
• At least 3 years’ experience in early childhood settings (Montessori experience a plus)
• Proven experience as an Educational Leader, Room Leader, or similar role
• Current Working With Children Check and First Aid (inc. CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis)
