The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-time Contract Officer to manage and streamline our contracting processes. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our operations by ensuring that all engagement and compliance agreements are accurate, timely, and aligned with legal and financial standards.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate engagement letters, compliance contracts, and variations for individuals, businesses, and external partners.
Prepare and distribute financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
Develop business proposals, negotiate terms and pricing, and foster long-term client relationships through effective engagement management.
Liaise with external partners to align contract terms with financial objectives.
Respond promptly to internal and external queries regarding contracts and engagement documentation.
Manage the preparation and response process for ethical and accountant reference letters.
Clearly communicate contractual terms, services, and financial commitments through engagement letters.
Maintain accurate records of all documentation and ensure contracts are renewed and updated on schedule.
Analyse contract terms to identify potential risks and provide informed advice to clients.
Stay up to date with relevant legislation and work collaboratively with legal and compliance teams.
Explain complex contractual and engagement requirements to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with tax, financial, and statutory obligations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to mitigate risks and maximise contract value.
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in a similar contract or compliance role for at least 3 years, preferably within accounting, legal, or financial services
Relevant Qualification in Management
Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance, and engagement processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
