We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join our highly skilled team based in North Parramatta, with a focus on working within our Construction Certificate documentation team on transitioning large scale DA approvals to Construction Certificate.

We require applicants to possess tertiary qualifications to a level of Bachelor / Master of Architecture in Australia or equivalent, with a minimum 3-years post graduate local experience in professional Architectural practice, with a specific focus on medium to high density documentation in apartment & mixed-use developments.

About the Role:

The Architectural Designer will be responsible for providing quality documentation at all stages in the design process, whether it be for Development Application or Construction Certificate. The key skills, requirements & responsibilities for the role are:

Must be highly proficient & have established experience working in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D) & Autodesk REVIT for the production of Construction Certificate documentation.

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is essential.

Producing Architectural documentation with a high level of accuracy at all stages in both the DA & CC documentation process. This ranges from sketch design to Council submission for DA, & preliminary coordination through to For Construction & Tender drawings for CC.

Proficiency & experience in understanding, interpreting & applying applicable codes, regulations & legislation to building design, such as NCC, SEPP (Housing) 2021 - ADG, Livable Housing Design Guidelines, Australian Standards, DCP’s & LEP’s, as well as Conditions of Consent.

Capability to carry out coordination with requirements of Council, client, certifier & consultants in order to produce consolidated, coordinated & detailed documentation for a fully realised development. This includes a strong ability to liaise both verbally & through written correspondence.

Ability to work both in a collaborative team environment, or independently, where you must have the ability to self-manage potential projects from initiation through to completion.

Assist with project & office administration.

Thorough knowledge of building construction.

Excellent English verbal & written communication skills.

Have strong organisational & interpersonal skills.

A high level of accuracy & attention to detail is a must, with excellent problem-solving skills.
